Circulation and Skincare in Harmony

Circulation and Skincare in Harmony

Posted by Lynn Power on

Each of our body systems are interconnected and dependent on each other. But often when it comes to skincare, we tend to treat the symptoms (like a breakout or dry skin) and think of it as isolated. Maya Crothers, founder of Circcell skincare has some interesting thoughts on this. We sat down to talk about her brand and what makes it different (spoiler -- it's about circulation).

Maya talks about herself as an "accidental entrepreneur". She left the workforce in her late 30’s to live a quiet mountain life with her husband and two young children. The mountain lifestyle and extreme, high altitude climate nearly destroyed her skin. She could not find products that could stand up to the harsh environment and were also clean and elegant. As an engineer and scientist, she had the ability to dissect the skincare ingredients she wanted and needed and work with a formulator partner to create a skincare line that's truly unique. Her brand, Circcell, is the embodiment of hard working yet elegant skincare solutions.

All of Maya's products are formulated to boost oxygen intake and circulation -- something that our bodies (and skin) need but are often overlooked. Blood circulation delivers essential nutrients to help our skin stay supple and young, but also defend itself from breakouts and dryness. Your lymphatic system takes away the toxins. So without good circulation, you are setting yourself up for health issues, especially as we age.

Some product highlights:

ABO+/- Serum. This serum is named after the 3 blood types and is a medical grade, oxygen enriched complex to support restoration.

Geothermal Clay Cleanser is potently infused with botanical ingredients that deeply clean while keeping the skin’s natural oils intact.

The multi-tasking DEW toner formulation uses a complex of amino acids, lactic acid and botanicals to balance the skin’s pH, refine pores and restore radiance for an enviably fresh and radiant complexion. It's a swiss army knife product that you can use every day to balance and transform troubled skin.

We love Maya's approach to bringing what spas and esthetician's know to the rest of us with her highly efficacious and beautiful skincare line.

Find Circcell and other indie conscious beauty brands (like MASAMI) at the Conscious Beauty Collective, in downtown Palm Springs (234 N. Palm Canyon Drive) until April 30, 2024.
