Our Sustainability Commitment
MASAMI believes that all businesses should have a responsibility to replenish what we take from the environment -- and to especially not leave a negative impact. We are committed to continue to improve our sustainability practices and find ways to reduce our environmental impact wherever possible.
These include:
- Ensuring our formulas are as environmentally friendly as possible.
- Looking for sustainable packaging solutions for our bottles and shipping packaging.
- Choosing raw materials and ingredients without depleting them.
- Ensuring our biodegradable and naturally derived ingredients come from a plant or water based natural source.
- Recycling as much waste material as possible.
- Eliminating excess paper by emailing invoices and packing slips when possible.
- Reusing packing materials where possible.
- Recycling equipment, such as computers and printers that our company no longer needs.
- Purchasing products made with recycled paper. For example, paper towels, printer paper.
- Using low impact transport for business travel. For example, use public transportation whenever possible.
- Avoiding unnecessary travel by making use of instant messaging, video and audio conferencing, telephone, and email.
- Working with partners who share our sustainability perspective
